How I teach

  • By keeping the classes small, it gives me the chance to look after you.

  • I am very much hands-on to help you understand where and how your body needs to move. Because the Pilates discipline concentrates on the deeper muscles it sometimes takes a moment to discover those.

  • I will demonstrate the movement, but then walk around to help you achieve the correct posture.

  • I always explain why you are doing this movement, what benefit it will give you.

  • I always teach through the various levels of ability to give you the choice of how far you want to push yourself.

  • Pilates ranges from gentle, precise movements to challenging, precise movements.

  • Pilates exercises will have to be carried out on a regular basis for you to improve and not to lose the toning you have achieved.
